Polynucleotides

Advanced Skin Regeneration at the Cellular Level

Regenerative skin treatment for healthier, smoother, more radiant skin Polynucleotides are an advanced injectable skin treatment designed to improve skin quality from within. Rather than adding volume or changing facial shape, they work by supporting the skin’s natural repair processes, helping to improve hydration, elasticity, texture and overall skin health. At Louise Evans Aesthetics, polynucleotides are used to treat tired, crepey, dull or ageing skin in a subtle, natural-looking way. What are polynucleotides?.... Polynucleotides are purified DNA fragments that help stimulate skin regeneration. They support fibroblast activity, improve hydration, encourage collagen and elastin production, and help create a healthier skin environment. They are often described as a skin-repair treatment rather than a filler. What can polynucleotides help with?.... Polynucleotides may help improve: Fine lines and crepey skin Skin laxity and loss of elasticity Dull or tired-looking skin Dehydrated skin Under-eye skin quality Neck and décolletage ageing Scarring and uneven texture Redness and inflammation-prone skin They can be used on the face, under-eyes, neck, décolletage, hands and selected body areas. Polynucleotides under the eyes…. Polynucleotides are particularly popular for the delicate under-eye area, where the skin can appear thin, tired, crepey or dark. They do not work like tear trough filler and will not “fill” hollows, but they may help improve the quality, firmness and resilience of the skin over time. This can be a lovely option for patients who want a natural, gradual improvement without adding volume. How many sessions will I need?.... A course is usually recommended for best results. Most patients require 3-4 sessions, spaced around 3–4 weeks apart, depending on the area treated, skin quality and treatment goals. Maintenance treatments may then be advised every few months. When will I see results?.... Polynucleotides work gradually. Some patients notice improved hydration and glow within a few weeks, but the best results are usually seen over several weeks as the skin begins to remodel and regenerate. Results continue to improve after a course of treatment. Does the treatment hurt?.... The treatment involves a series of small superficial injections, or with a cannula. A topical numbing cream may be used to make the procedure more comfortable. You may experience small bumps, redness, swelling or bruising afterwards, which usually settle over the following days. Is there any downtime?.... Downtime is usually mild, but this depends on the area treated. You may have: Small raised bumps at injection points Redness Tenderness Mild swelling Bruising For this reason, it is best not to book treatment immediately before an important event. Polynucleotides vs skin boosters…. Skin boosters are mainly used to improve hydration, glow and skin smoothness, often using hyaluronic acid. Polynucleotides focus more on skin repair and regeneration, helping to improve the condition and resilience of the skin over time. For some patients, the best results may come from combining polynucleotides with skin boosters, skincare or other collagen-stimulating treatments. Who is suitable for polynucleotides?.... Polynucleotides may be suitable if you are noticing early ageing, crepey skin, under-eye skin changes, dullness, dehydration, or a loss of firmness. They may not be suitable if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have an active infection, certain medical conditions, or have a known allergy to any product ingredients. Suitability will always be assessed at consultation. Treatment areas…. Polynucleotides can be used to treat: Under-eyes Face Neck Décolletage Hands Areas of crepey skin Scarring or textural concerns Natural, regenerative skin improvement…. Polynucleotides are ideal for patients who want subtle, progressive skin improvement without looking “done”. The aim is not to change your face, but to help your skin look healthier, fresher and more resilient. Book a consultation….
