Skin Boosters

Hydrate, smooth and refresh your skin from within

Skin boosters are injectable treatments designed to improve skin quality rather than change your facial shape. They work by delivering hydrating and skin-supporting ingredients beneath the skin, helping to improve glow, texture, elasticity and overall radiance. At Louise Evans Aesthetics, skin boosters are used to create a natural, refreshed result — perfect for skin that feels dull, dehydrated, crepey or tired. What can skin boosters help with?.... Skin boosters may help improve: Dehydrated or dull skin Fine lines and crepey texture Loss of glow Poor skin elasticity Mild skin laxity Sun-damaged skin Tired-looking under-eyes Neck, décolletage and hand ageing They are particularly useful when your skin doesn’t need volume or contouring, but does need better hydration, smoothness and luminosity. How do skin boosters work?.... Most skin boosters contain hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance that attracts and holds water in the skin. Unlike dermal fillers, skin boosters are usually placed more superficially and are not designed to add structure or volume. Depending on your skin concerns, we may recommend treatments such as Teoxane Redensity 1, Profhilo, or a personalised combination with polynucleotides or medical-grade skincare. Treatment areas…. Skin boosters can be used on areas such as: •Face •Under-eyes •Neck •Décolletage •Hands •Arms or areas of crepey skin, where suitable Your treatment plan will be tailored after consultation. What results can I expect?.... Results are usually subtle, fresh and natural. Skin may look more hydrated, smoother and brighter, with improved texture over a course of treatments. You should not expect skin boosters to create the lifting or reshaping effect of dermal filler. Instead, they are ideal for patients wanting healthier, fresher-looking skin. How many sessions will I need?.... Most skin booster treatments work best as a course. This is commonly 2–3 sessions spaced a few weeks apart, followed by maintenance treatments every few months depending on your skin, lifestyle and chosen product. Your exact plan will be discussed during consultation. Is there any downtime?.... Downtime is usually minimal, but you may experience: Small bumps at injection points Redness Mild swelling Bruising Tenderness These effects usually settle quickly, although bruising can occasionally last longer. Are skin boosters safe?.... Skin boosters are generally well tolerated when performed by a trained medical professional. As with any injectable treatment, there are risks, including bruising, swelling, infection, lumpiness, inflammation or vascular complications, although serious complications are rare. At Louise Evans Aesthetics, your treatment includes a full consultation, medical history, consent process and aftercare advice. Who is skin booster treatment suitable for?.... Skin boosters may be suitable if you want to improve skin hydration, glow and texture without looking “done.” They are often chosen by patients who feel their skin looks tired, dry or less elastic than it used to. They may not be suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you have certain medical conditions, active skin infection, or allergy to any product ingredients. Skin boosters vs dermal fillers…. Dermal fillers are usually used to restore volume, contour or support facial structure. Skin boosters are used to improve skin quality, hydration and radiance. During your consultation, we will help you decide which option is most appropriate for your concerns. If your skin is feeling dull, dehydrated or lacking glow, skin boosters may be a lovely option to restore freshness and radiance.
